Companion Animal

Welcome to the companion animal branch of Farmgate Vets. We now operate our companion animal service from two sites, the main practice being in Sedbergh, with full theatre, ultrasound scanning and radiography capabilities, kennelling for hospitalised inpatients and with daily consulting hours (by appointment).

We perform basic in house lab tests on site, and if further investigations are needed, our local lab provides an overnight courier service collecting samples for diagnostic testing, which means, we can in many cases have results for you next day.

Our branch surgery is at the Crooklands (Kendal) practice. We are offering appointments in our new completed consulting room, ideal for vaccinations, health checks and any minor illnesses and ailments your pet may suffer. Complex cases may need to be transferred up to our Sedbergh clinic, to receive the benefit of all our resources and our dedicated on site small animal staff.

We also dispense your pet’s mediations at the time of consultation – no need to visit a pharmacy, and we are happy to order and dispense repeat prescriptions for our clients who’s pets we have diagnosed with an ongoing condition (please give 48hrs notice).

We are here to provide health care, preventative medicine and  24 hour emergency cover ( out of hours cover  provided by Highgate Vets ) for your animals.
